Alex is the Founder and CEO of Beam.

Beam is a Tech for Good company that supports homeless people and refugees in stable jobs and homes. Beam has named by LinkedIn as a Top 15 UK Startup, by the Evening Standard as one of the Top 20 UK startups and by WIRED as one of London’s Top 10 startups.

Alex advises various startups, including JustPark, a startup backed by Index Ventures and BMW, which he ran as CEO for 3 years.

He is also the author of a book on the sharing economy called The Business of Sharing published by Macmillan which draws on interviews with the founders of Airbnb, Zipcar and BlaBlaCar and others.

Alex is a well-known commentator on Tech for Good, social impact and the collaborative and sharing economy and other has given interviews for the BBC, Bloomberg, Sky and Reuters among others.
